Principal Hydrogeologist

My client is a global, multi-disciplined consulting company with offices in over 15 countries worldwide. They provide design and project management services to industries including the Water, Mining, Industrial, Infrastructure and Environmental sectors and have been established for over 40 years.

Despite the recent financial crisis, they still have plenty of work available and are currently looking for a Principal Hydrogeologist to establish and grow a new team in Perth.

The ideal candidate will be a competent Hydrogeologist with around 15+ years relevant experience including a background in consulting. You will be tasked with establishing a brand new Hydrogeology business unit in Perth to compliment their already established and successful Hydrogeology groups within other states

With plenty of genuine support from the other groups, you will be able to manage the technical and commercial aspects of the implementation and also share your knowledge and experience with other more junior staff as they are brought on board.

The role will involve some business development but assistance will be provided in meeting warm and established clients.

What you need:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology or Environmental Science
• Around 15+ years relevant experience
• Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
• Experience in the consulting (and ideally mining) industries
• Experience in managing projects and teams
• Ability to assist with the commercial and business development aspects
